For a 3-6 year-old, use a small foldable bed tray for the prayer table. The child sets up the table and chooses a prayer cloth and other items of choice, for example, a candle and a statue of the Good Shepherd, The young child may choose to do this several times a day because repetition is natural. An older child may set up a more permanent prayer table with religious items and the appropriate color for the season.
